Designed for students engaged in stratigraphy-related research, this course covers topics of tectonostratigraphy, seismistratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, event stratigraphy, quantitative stratigraphy, stratigraphic modeling, and paleo-environmental analysis. The content of the course can be adjusted according to the students’ requests. The class will be held in a seminar-type fashion with the emphasis on case studies. The students can freely choose the subjects they are interested in and carry out a term project research. To prepare for the term project, the students need to collect relevant and read references and complete two literature reviews beforehand. The results of literature reviews and the term project will be presented in the class.
